At the beginning of September 2011, EIOPA, European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, closed its consultation on the Solvency II XBRL taxonomy. The aim of this consultation was to assess the XBRL methodology developed by EIOPA to answer many of the reporting needs of the 3rd pillar of Solvency II.
